Testimonials
I hired Hannah to support me during my labor and delivery, but I look back now and that pretty much seems like a grain of sand compared to the overall support that she has given me as a first time mom. I truly feel like a trailblazer when it comes to the type of mom that I am compared to my peers and family. I owe so much of my confidence in trusting my motherly intuition and parenting counterculturally to Hannah. She never pushed any opinion onto me, but rather planted seeds and let me blossom. You will not regret having her on your birth team!!!

Informational Support
As your doula and birth keeper, I am here to present information and alternative options to assist you in making the best decisions for yourself and your family. I use various outlets to keep you up-to-date with new resources that can help you through your pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
Physical Support
I offer physical support for you during your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. During pregnancy, we discover and practice various hands-on techniques to help you relieve discomfort as well as practice for labor. During birth I am there to support you whether it is physically being near (or making space) throughout, practicing comfort techniques, or a hand to hold. During your postpartum period, I am available to help you and baby based upon your needs.
Emotional Support
Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can be an emotional rollercoaster- with all the great parts and scenic views and the low parts where you are still waiting for part of you to catch up. Sometimes it's processing through previous trauma or hurt, sometimes it's that this is not what you expected, or ____. I am here to simply be a listening ear through it all. I am here to offer words of encouragement when appropriate and needed. I am here to let you know that you are not alone.
Community Support
As a woman, mother, mentor, doula, and educator I understand how important doing life with others is. I don't just say you need a village, I hope to help you create one. Connecting with other moms and dads is such an important part of parenting. For some there is a natural progression, for some there is a hit or miss group, and for some it's painfully clear you need more. I host monthly and quarterly events through to help you connect with other parents so that you can then continue communication and get together outside of this. Check out what Alyssa says below!
It can feel daunting to walk into just any local mom's group as a crunchy mama. The need to find community is tremendous, but the subtleties of passing comments about "well visits" or weird looks if I leave my little one barefoot can feel all the more isolating. There is nothing quite like attending one of Transcend's get togethers. They are overwhelmingly welcoming to all and yet there are many unsaid common values among us. You will absolutely love the village that Hannah has built up! ~ Alyssa G.
Hannah’s gatherings have been such a blessing in this phase of life. As we get older, it’s difficult to make to new friends, especially ones that share the same views and are in the same season as you. Hannah knows this and puts emphasis on building a community amongst her clients and other women in the area. Through her gatherings, I have met countless amazing women, some who have become my very closest friends. Having like minded women to go through life (and specifically parenthood) with is invaluable! The monthly gatherings Hannah so graciously hosts made this possible for me. And there’s always good food and conversation! :) ~Felicia S.

When I left my first Breastfeeding Project photoshoot, I finally understood the "self-care" that I had read about in a book called, "The Empowered Wife." The unending work of motherhood was starting to take its toll on my mind and my marriage, but I felt such a disdain for the term "self-care." Then, I attended the Breastfeeding Project and it hit me when I drove home grinning ear to ear and feeling rejuvenated. We are hard wired for community. Women lost that sense of feminine camaraderie over the past couple of generations, but Hannah is reviving it through this project. Let's reclaim our God-given ability to nourish and bond with our sweet babies while making friendships along the way. It's sure to fill your cup as it did mine! ~ Alyssa G.
